a 4.0 senior before I encountered a biased teacher. This could have been
avoided had I only discovered your site sooner! I think it is interesting
that professors do not like this site (based on your critique page) because
they think it is not right that students can post unfair messages based
on personal opinions... Actually, though, I looked at the reviews of my
instructors (past and present) and found all of them to be accurate. The
good ones had good reviews, and those who are poor were presented as such...
This site provides an excellent opportunity for students to see what they
are getting into before enrolling in a class. In the past, I made enrollment
decisions based on the course description in the university catalog. However,
the true nature of the class is determined entirely by the instructor.
One student can take a class with one instructor, a peer can take the
same class with another instructor, and their experiences can be completely
different... Thank you again for all the great information!"

is a college student's best friend! I saved my self many semesters of
grief by checking out my teachers before I signed up for their classes...and
even after. For instance, Fall 2003 at DVC I found out that one of the
teachers I was to have was extremely hard to understand due to her accent.
I am a student not a translator, so I changed my class, and later found
out from fellow students that it was indeed true. Because she was difficult
to understand they did not get as much out of the course as I did. I owe
it all to reviewum.com and the students who participate. Tell your friends
about it and I assure you that they will thank you over and over. It just
takes one time for this site to save your butt, for you to come back again
and again. And hey if you plan on transferring to a 4 year college, like
many of you (and myself) do, be sure to get reviewum.com started at your
future campus before you get there. Check with the reviewum.com site admin

considered making a few flyers to post around campus to get the word out
about those, but it's much more efficient to have a site available that
